my fancy new business cards.

Apologies to all those who have already seen these pictures but I just had to blog about my beautiful letterpress business cards printed by Rowley Press. I am a big letterpress fan. I just think the art of it is so amazing and the results are incredible when executed correctly...and my cards were definitely printed to perfection. The paper is so thick you have to try to bend it in half. But don't cause then I'd have to hurt you.

My old business cards and logo had a completely different look - they were more on the girly side of things in my opinion. But when I launched my new design site (feel free to check it out and follow it to stay involved in the design side of my life) I decided early on that I wanted to create a look that was timeless and simple. I wanted to have freedom to tweak a few things here and there if I wanted without completely revamping my identity every 6 months because I happen to get sick of it, which happens more than you know. And out of that idea came my website design and business cards.

So was there really a point to this post? Not really. Just thought I'd share a little bit of my inner geek with you all and show off my new cards and design site. I can't believe I've never really posted anything about design on this blog until now. It's such a big part of my life that I should probably share more. So, here's to trying to be better at blogging.

These are some of my cheap but still pretty cards that I got digitally printed. I decided they needed a little spicing up so I bought a few cans of spray paint and went to town. The experimental project turned out alright and they look  sort of  awesome all stacked up.
