the car show.

I honestly can say that I had never been to the Swiss Days Car Show. Before Nick and I got married, Nick would go with his dad for obvious reasons. 1) I know nothing about cars, 2) I don't love cars like Nick and his dad and 3) I don't think he ever even asked me to go because he knew about reasons 1 and 2.

This year was a little different. Nick's high school ride "Nikki Nova" was actually going to be in the car show. Jeff (aka Nick's dad and my father-in-law) decided to enter it in hopes of getting it some exposure so he could sell it. So clearly we had to go to the car show and check out Nikki Nova and the other cars in the show. While I liked cars based on the paint, interior and awesome retro typography, Nick and Jeff were busy checking out the motors and the horsepower.

I will admit that it was pretty fun (besides the fact that it was blazing hot and I was in a light sweater and jeans) and we just might have to make it a tradition to go check out the sweet cars. Who knows, maybe Nick's bug will make its own appearance in the show one day.

wedding madness.

It seems like there is an overload of weddings this summer and we've been hitting them all - at least it seems like it. It all started up in May when our really good friends Derek and Kylee got married. They sort of kicked off the wedding madness.

We got the opportunity to go to my cousin Jana's wedding a couple weeks after we got married. We were really excited because it was the first temple sealing that we were able to attend since we got married. It was such a cool experience.

These two got engaged the day before Derek and Kylee got married so it was fun to be able to go watch them be sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

I did a bunch of design work for this wedding so Nick and I took a little trip out to Toquerville to check out some of the details. It was such a beautiful wedding - my pictures didn't do it justice.

It was a little bit of a toasty day at the St. George Temple but the reception was nothing short of perfect. Mykelle's rustic/woodsy theme was absolutely to die for. I wish I would have actually taken more than two pictures.

3 months.

I can't believe it's already been 3 months since we were married. It still seems as if it were yesterday. These past 3 months have been the happiest months of my life. There is nothing better than seeing the love of your life every night when you come home from work and not having to drive all the way home to your own bed after you fall asleep watching a movie. I know most of you would think I'd be Miss Sally Homemaker by now but I am pretty sure I'm at the same stage I was on Day 1...sorry Nick. Maybe at 6 months I will be able to retract that statement. Unlikely. All I know is that being married to Nick is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I've never been happier or more in love.

Here are a bunch of random photos of things we've done or places we've been since we've gotten married. We've had quite the busy summer. Between getting all moved in, weddings, family outings and lots of other things that have come up, we've pretty much been on the go since June. And I've been horrible at documenting it. Most of our pictures we do have our with my iPhone cause I'm too lazy to get out my camera. I am determined to get better at documenting our lives and that's a big reason why I started this blog - to force me to take pictures.
